Raingutter Regatta

The Rain Gutter Regatta is a fun and unique event where cub scout builds a sailboat from a provided kit, and paints it how ever they want. They then bring their boat to a designated race day, where they have the opportunity to compete against other scouts.

How it Works

  • Each scout will be given a kit which contains the required materials for building a sailboat.
  • As the sailboat is being built, be sure to have fun making it unique by painting and decorating it.
  • On race day, each scout will have an opportunity (multiple if time allows) to race their sailboat down an inflatable “gutter”, by blowing through a straw to simulate wind.
