Join Pack 80 for an Evening of Fishing Fun!
Pack 80 is excited to invite Scouts and their families to a fishing adventure aboard the Yankee III out of Captree State Park!
Whether you’re an experienced angler or have never held a fishing rod before, this trip is a great opportunity to enjoy time on the water, learn something new, and make memories with fellow Scouts and families.

Time: 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Location: Yankee III, Captree State Park, 3500 Ocean Pkwy, Bay Shore, NY 11706
Important: Please plan to arrive early. The boat departs promptly, and late arrivals may miss the trip. We recommend arriving at least 30–45 minutes before departure to allow time for parking, check-in, and boarding.
Cost
- Pack 80 Scouts: FREE (Covered by Pack 80)
- All Other Participants: $35 per person

No Fishing Experience Needed
Never been fishing before? No problem!
The Yankee III crew will provide assistance and instruction throughout the trip. Staff members are available to help beginners learn how to use the equipment, bait hooks, and reel in fish.

Dress for the Weather
Conditions on the water can be significantly cooler and windier than on land. Even on warm summer days, the breeze can feel chilly once the boat leaves the dock.
We recommend:
- Layered clothing
- A light jacket or sweatshirt
- Comfortable, non-slip shoes
